Has anyone ever tried using Rita Choy's books to learn Chinese (with character by character) ? And how would you like it compared to other ones like Heisig or Tuttle?
http://www.amazon.com/Understanding-Chinese-Guide- (there's also a red version book for characters alone)
(I have both her books and noticed that she also had published audio cassettes; though I haven't gotten my hands on those, if anyone has, what are your experiences with that? and how did you get it anyway? I couldn't find it online and I'm thinking the place doesn't exist anymore in SF since it's been over a decade since last publication .. but I could be wrong ...)
The way I'm looking at her books, they seem really detailed and helpful ...
