Hello everyone.
I've been lurking on this forum for quite some time and thought it was time to introduce myself.
I'm from California but I've lived in Sweden for about 2 years and plan on staying here for many years to come.
I studied French and Russian for a few semesters in college in The States, but Swedish is the first language that I've actually learned to a usable level.
I'm planning to take my C1 test in Swedish in May and then I plan to start studying an L3 actively, which will be either French or Russian. It's a choice that keeps me up at night. I've had a long love affair with both of them, but I'm half Russian and have many Russian friends so maybe that would be a better choice for me.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and thank everyone on here for all the excellent advice I've read on this forum. This website is a really great resource for anyone learning another language.
Nice to meet you all.
Melisse

Welcome to the forum Melisse! I hope you'll find it useful to you. What a change for a Californian to be living in Sweden. How are you ever going to find good Mexican food now?
Russian or French, you can't go wrong either way you choose. There'll be lots of help available to you here. You need only to ask. Good luck!

:D I know! The lack of good Mexican food and sushi is killing me! But Sweden makes up for it in many other ways.
Thanks for the welcome.
