Unit 49 completed last night. I'm into the final stretch now!
I'm hoping to complete the final units by the end of may, but no later than the first week of June. I have quite a few things to do at that time, so it would be a huge morale boost to get this program completed by then. Also, my wife said she would make me a cake to celebrate finishing the program, so I gotta finish! I looked at Lingq as a possible program to use after I'm done with FSI. Has anyone used it for a length of time? If so, please tell what you thought of it as a resource. 2 persons have voted this message useful | |

And... believe it or not... a lot of the lessons after 48 are easier. They are a lot longer time-wise, but drill some easier concepts. Keep it up.

Unit 50 complete. The imperfect subjunctive will definitely be something that I revisit
and practice more in the future. I realize that when I'm done with FSI, I'll need to allow the language to become "natural" to me, by reading more than I do now. It's one thing to memorize a formula of verb conjugations and be able to repeat them in certain contexts, but to really "own" it what I want. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

It looks like you are well on pace to reach your goal of "Complete FSI by May 2015."
With the good courses like FSI I think it is worthwhile to come back a while later and go through the course a second time. Things like the imperfect subjunctive will fall into place a lot better after you've had some more time using the language. FSI is a great course and it is such a great thing for you that you are going to complete the entire thing. Keep us updated. 1 person has voted this message useful |
