At least the "Be real" and "Drive it like you stole it" folks bothered to write a Classics department to make sure it was right. I can respect that. And honestly, have pity on the people who who use online translators for tattoos, because in their ignorance about how language works, they trusted the machine to get it right, as one would trust a calculator to get the correct sum.
What I really can't stand is how people who don't understand Latin or how it works at all insist on translating phrases like this and acting like they know the language, and nobody ever calls them out because Latin is such an uncommon language.
If you want to see more bad tattoos go to http://hanzismatter.com. Chinese characters are so easy to abuse!

I would only get a tattoo in a foreign tongue if I could translate it myself.
Also if I were a tattoo artist (something I have neither the skill nor passion to do) I'd screw with people's tattoos if they wanted something in a foreign language.
You think your Japanese tattoo says "Be peaceful to your fellow man?" Too bad I made it say "I was violated by a goat when I was younger."

It's pretty amazing that two people have the same 90's movie quote, equally mistranslated into Latin. Not only were two "of"s left in, the word "valley" was too!

Pathetic.
Grammatical errors are somewhat forgivable and an honest fault(albeit incredibly stupid!)
Valley and of are not LOL! I really hope to meet one of these people some day :P

This reminds me of a young lady I knew who trusted a tattoo artist's
book on translations for Chinese characters.
I don't remember what she thought her tattoo was going to say (this was over 10 years
ago) but a Chinese instructor at our local university laughed and told her - to her deep
embarassment - that her tattoo came out roughly translated to be "Pork Table."
