I know there are many sites dedicated to language exchange etc. but I've been thinking about ways in which I could get more Spanish practice informally and with more people! The idea is basically to get some group video/voice chats going through Skype, Tokbox or any other service available (that you guys use). We could also post our twitter profiles and/or other IM profiles and just get some random practice in our target language (and even just chat about our progress etc. if we can't speak that much in our target language yet!).
So, the way it'll work is we'll post our IM/Twitter/Skype etc. on here, along with our native & target language, then once we get a good few people added and get talking with each other we can start to arrange group video/audio chats. Twitter will be especially useful I think, as it'll be public and a bit less 'real-time', giving more people a chance to get involved in the conversation. I suppose the goal is to create a network of friends who are learning the language along with you, which is a little less structured than forums etc.
Also, I suppose it doesn't really matter whether you're learning the same target language or trying to learn the users native language (language exchange vs co-learners), either way it will be useful!
Anyway, here's my details and hopefully this gets the ball rolling...
* Native Language: English
* Learning: Spanish
- Twitter and Tokbox: garmur
- Skype: gareth.cpm

Welcome Garmur!
There's already a thread on this Here
Skype is a great way to practice, along with email and even penpals.
Best of luck!
