Hi everyone.

I'm posting here rather than in the books forum because my post is not about a language learning book.

I had an idea the other day about books exchange. Maybe someone out there thinks it's a good idea too.

The idea would be to exchange a particular book in each person's native language (or the language of the country they live in). It would have to be a book that has been translated to both languages and one that can be easily acquired (otherwise the idea of the exchange would be worthless).

What for? Because I think it would be cheaper to buy the book in the country where that language is spoken than buy it over the internet from another country.

For example, I was thinking in "The little Prince" (Le petit prince). It's a worldwide known book and can be easily acquired anywhere. And I assume that it's not very expensive. At least a paperback copy of that book here in Argentina is not expensive.

So, for example, I would buy "El principito" ("The little prince" in Spanish) and the other person would buy "The little Prince" in their language. And then each of us would send the copy to the other by regular mail.

What do you think? Would any of you be up to it?

If someone wants to exchange books with me, I would be interested in the following languages:

* Japanese
* Italian
* Portuguese
* French
* German
* Galician
* Latin

I'm pretty sure you can find that book online for free in almost any language.

Here is a multilingual e-book in a few of those languages you wanted.

I know that some of these books could be found online. But the idea was because I think it's much nicer (and practical) to have the actual book. Besides, I liked the idea of trading something with someone across the world.

Don't you?

I love Harry Potter! If someone wants to trade, I'm interested too.

I already have the English series (I didn't even read the Spanish one, but obviously I can get it here), but I would be interested in any of the HP books in any of the languages I mentioned before.

Haha, uh...don't you think calling random people on a forum "malaka" is a bit inappropriate?

I would be up for this.
I would be after French (Harry Potter would do, unless anybody has anything more exciting), simple German books, or Persian children's books (with vowel marks would be amazing). Sorry - I can only offer English, but I have masses of English books.
