I consider that to be Intermediate level reading, where you know the basis of the language and reading something like Jane Austen would help you with the language development, not necessarily language learning. It is actually quite similar to native English students starting to learn classics like Austen sometime in High School when their English is at a certain suitable level (though in UK this seems to be deteriorating with great speed unfortunately).
