I've always wondered why there has been such a decline in scholarly polyglotism, especially in North America. We seem to be monolingual here, and it's a hard struggle to be into foreign languages if you're in an über-English country. Bloody shame. 1 person has voted this message useful | ||||||

It is up to us, language enthusiasts, to take the initiative and revive multilingualism. Sadly, our efforts would be in vain for the majority of the North American population who does not care to think in any language other than English. But it is a way for us to better ourselves and show those from other countries that not all North Americans are handicapped when it comes to language learning, and exceptional learners do exist here. 1 person has voted this message useful | ||||||
