preferably modern, but please try and "avoid" kitchy pop stuff, aside from that : rock, metal, rap even oldies everything goes.

Pokolgép is the best Hungarian-heck, one of the best metal bands in any language I have listened to. I have learned some Hungarian from their songs, despite never having studied the language myself.

If you're into gothic, Dead-Can-Dance-like music, you can check out The Moon and the Nighspirit. They have songs mostly in Hungarian, especially on the albums from 2007 and 2009.

I had "The Transsylvanians" recommended to me by someone learning Hungarian. I think. I hope it was Hungarian, anyway - I couldn't tell, but hopefully that's helpful too.
