I've gotten into the habit of watching the German (ZDF) en French (5monde) news almost every day, I can understand a lot of it, I guess 70% of the German news and 60% of the French news and I notice it really helps.

Now the question: In school, German class, we watched children's news (Logo) and I guess I could understand about 90%/95%, it was really simple, and a big + is that things are really well explained, so if the vocab is unknown you'll get it anyway because it's all drawn out/explained really well.

So I thought to myself, should I switch to children's news sometimes?
And does anybody know how the French children's news is called?
And maybe really difficult English news?

You could try the BBC for news in English. I think it will play ok in the Netherlands.

On the site I use for my french listening, RFI ( http://www.rfi.fr/ ) there is a section called "Francais Facile" if you clicker "Ecouter RFI" on the homepage and go to Journaux in the new window. It isn't "Kid's" new's, but you should have no problem understanding it at your current level.
