Lo siento a todos.

I have been very slack with this the past two months however I am looking to turn it around. Whilst I shouldn't make
excuses I have had a crazy 2 months which saw me relocate from Australia to the US and start a new job in
Connecticut. In the spirit of the team I'll complete this post in Spanish.

Este año me he

podcasts (Notes in Spanish advanced, buenos días america, etc.), viendo unos series y películas (el internado),

Mitch

Did anyone post anything about a March challenge during the Week that Never Was? I
could swear I recall something about that, but I might be wrong.

I'd be up for something in April if anyone has suggestions, I've never been involved in
this before so I am not sure what tends to be done.

As a side note, la voz kids (US) is on tonight. I gave it a go last week and quite
enjoyed it. Given the involvement of children the Spanish is quite accessible and also
gives you exposure to a range of accents (the coaches are PR, Spanish and mexican and the
kids/parents hail from all over). Just a suggestion if people had a couple hours free on
a sunday night - you can probably get it off the telemundo site/youtube too.

Anyone up for a June challenge?

I was thinking about a writing challenge since output is always the hardest part of
learning a language, but I haven't had any luck finding any writing prompts that I
would have done.

Those on Reddit are highly specific and probably unsuited for language learners:
http://www.reddit.com/r/WritingPrompts/

There are a few on the Output Challenge thread, but I don't really feel like writing
about childhood memories or fishing tutorials.

What are your thoughts on this? I presonally think we could do something fictional
(writing a short story or something), because it does not rely on personal experiences
or skills. I got the idea from the East Asian languages team.

I like writing prompts. If it's unsuited to someone's level or interest, there's no law that says it can't be
tweaked until it *is* suitable. :)

I'd be interested in a June writing challenge!

Brief update: I've just returned from my month in Peru! This summer I'll be working a new job, but still making
time for Spanish (mostly in the form of books and TV shows for the super challenge rather than formal study).
I'm starting to watch the first season of Isabel, which I'll hopefully enjoy and then I can watch the next two
seasons as well. For September I'm looking into a directed reading course since none of the other Spanish
classes I'm interested in work with my schedule. I think that will be just what I need though.

How are my teammates doing with their studies??

Strictly maintenance for me!

I'm watching one/two films a week just to keep the language alive. I may reprise reading later, but not now. I'm far too busy with my other languages :/
