I wanted to apply the listening-reading method to Chinese but I can't find any audio books in this language, let alone an audio book with an English translation!
In the audio books thread there was a link to an audio book but the text was not the same thing as the book. Other than that I can't find anything by searching on google and I can't read well enough to search on chinese websites :(
Is there anything I can do?

At radio.cn there seems to be the audio for the first 3 Harry Potter books. Have you tried them?

I don't know if they follow the (simplified) Chinese text exactly, but I cant imagine they would go to the trouble of retranslating the books all over again.

I heard very bad things about translations of books like Harry Potter. To apply the listening-reading method you need a literal translation but in the thread many people said the translation of Harry Potter books were horrible and completely different from the original, with many sentences ignored or added. I will give it a try but I wonder if it is possible to find traditional chinese books, that way the translation is (hopefully) going to be more literal.
Thanks anyway for the link.
PS: Thanks a lot for your links in your japanese thread, they helped a lot!

You're welcome!
I also dug up this comprehensive list of translation errors found in the mainland Chinese translation of HP. It should prove quite helpful to you!
