	I am cheating a bit, because I don't know Italian, and I ran into this author, Diego Marani, through a review of the translation of his recent book into Spanish. Still, a thriller with a strong linguistic flavor, and by the sound of it, with quite a few controversial ideas - seems like it may be a good read. (Is he the inventor of europanto, by the way?) 	Frenkeld, it's a good idea and Diego Marani has been already discussed several times on this forum. I don't know what his first novel is worth please do tell us if you read it. 1 person has voted this message useful

	The one quoted in my post was the second novel. The first one also got a good review in Spanish, and using my Europanto skills to parse this page in French and this one in Italian for additional information about the plot, I would certainly try it. The only problem is that now it must be decided whether to buy it and read it in Spanish translation or whether to learn Italian quickly instead.
