Hindi. How much do I know?
I can speak it well enough. Oral communication is not an issue. Written Hindi is a different tale altogether. Though I had Hindi at school, I have never "studied" the language seriously. I have bought the Practice Makes Perfect Hindi Workbook which I'll work through this summer. I also have Kumar's "Hindi for Non-Hindi Speaking People" which I'll use as a reference. Goals I am going to read Prem Chand and Ibn-e-Safi's thrillers. I want to learn letter-writing. I will practise writing short essays, as well. I have put Hindi on hold to focus on the CPE.
