I'm already registered in the Asian team for this new TAC, but as I am the only on
studying japanese in there, I would appreciate it if I could also be part of Team う (if
the name stays this one)!
お願いします~

After a bit of thought, I've decided that I'd like to join two teams for the TAC 2013:
The Finno-Ugric and Balto-Slavonic – “ Team *jäŋe /*ledús - with Hungarian, BCMS, Slovak and perhaps a bit of Slovene
The Czechoslovak team - with Slovak

If the name う doesn't stick, don't worry -- the link will. -- People don't be shy to link, URLS (addresses) won't change!
Since we have so many German learners, I was about to propose to split the Germanic team into a German Team and a truly generic 'Germanic' team but I just checked and we have just one person studying something other than German so it doesn't really make sense. However, I'm not sure* either how beneficial it can be to be in two different teams sharing a language, especially one as popular as Japanese.
*I'm not being sarcastic or anything -- would it be worth for all Team うers to join Asian team?

Which team(s)? If you look at post #2, you can see the teams that have been formed so far.

I'd originally thought the Germanic languages would be one team, but then the Scandinavians split off, turning the Germanic team into a German one.
The Japanese team could well be combined into the Asian team and I suggested that as a possibility, but we had two teams last year, and it seems like people want to continue with that.
