Thank you for the feedback on Babel Indonesian, redflag. I was thinking of signing up to Babel just to have access to its Indonesian course, because there's no plan for doing it at Duolingo yet. Other than that, I'd definitely not go for Babel for what I can already finda at Duolingo.

Hi Expugnator, the Indonesian course is basically just vocab flashcards type thing (as
opposed to the Babbel French which has a huge amount of varied content) but they say it's
2000 words I think so that's a decent amount. Given the relative simplicity of
Indonesian grammar I feel like focusing solely on vocab at the start might be more useful
than for other languages.

Indonesian would work quite well on Duolingo I think if someone wanted to do it.

So anyway 6 days after I said I wanted to finish the Duolingo French tree by Easter ... I finished the Duolingo French
tree. Ha, I should set all my deadlines with that much leeway, feels good.

Congratulations! I'll be a few weeks behind you in finishing, but your owl is motivating me
to future tense NOW! :)

Thanks s.mann. I did do a few things that sped it up a bit
- turned off the listening/speaking exercises. Don't think they're Duo's strengths and they were starting to irritate
me
- tested out of a few of the vocabulary based skills. Maybe a cheat but the time I saved was more than made up for
by having to do a crash course in intermediate grammar since I've never actually studied the past subjunctive and
things like that.
- I think the iPhone app version is a bit easier because even though they still have the hearts system they also give
you a lot where you just have to make the sentence from a bunch of words, which is easier than doing it cold off the
top of your head.

I'm going to do some timed practice each day for a bit now to go over some of the earlier stuff. Timed practice is 10
lingots but well worth it. And I've started the Danish tree ... ;-)
