Day 10

I repeated Ana Pana #4 and sent in the exercises for correction.
Gerda malaperis! #3 had a lot of useful words. I didn't get all of the conversation the first time I listened, but after some repetitions it fell into place.

Two constant feelings about Esperanto:
It's easy.
I don't like the spelling (the "supersigns" as well as the -j, -jn).

Day 11

I did Ana Pana #5 and sent in the exercises for correction. The feedback I get from the language tutors is great. I really appreciate the service.

I still listen to Gerda malaperis! (#4 today), for comprehension. Who are the speakers? I like their voices and accents. It's funny how much you can understand just from intonation and stress, almost as if you watch the "actors" during the recording of the dialogues.

Another session of flashcards. I may discard this method for a while, and let the grammar sink in by reading and listening to real material.

Yes, I loved the Gerda malaperis course. And the audio files make it a big help with listening comprehension too.

I think Esperanto sounds more and more Italian. Some of the speakers in GM at least sound more Italian than Spanish (to my ears).

Day 12:
The length of the Gerda malaperis! chapters varies a lot (as is said in the introduction to the course) so today I spent the 30 minutes on GM #5.

Day 13:
Today I've only listened to Ana Pana #6. I will probably spend the next two days on that one. My laptop crashed yesterday, and that's where I'd saved my flashcard entries (as well as other language stuff).

I've taken a break for a couple of days but now I'm back.

Day 14:
I finished Ana Pana #6, sent in the exercises for correction and reviewed Gerda Malaperis 1 and 2.

I've thought of trying to catch up with my missed hours. Tomorrow "should be" my 21st day, so I may do intense study for 3,5 hours in addition to the regular 30 minutes. I'll let you know.

Session 15:
Review of Gerda Malaperis! 3-5.

Session 16:
Focus on vocabulary and grammar Gerda Malaperis! 4.

Session 17:
I had a look at one of my books, "Sistema kurso de Esperanto" (written in Swedish, 1934). I went through chapter 1-4.

Session 18:
Chapter 5-8 of SkdE. Some really hilarious stories.

Session 19:
Chapters 9-11 of SkdE. I read everything aloud to practice my pronunciation. Somehow it feels like my accent is getting more and more similar to the Ana Pana speaker's. (It could very well be, as that is one of the few examples of spoken Esperanto I've heard)

The text in "Sistema kurso de Esperanto" is pretty outdated; the story (so far) is about a kid who dreams about flying with his friend around the world, meeting cannibals (!) who are amazed at seeing a "metal bird" falling down from the sky...
