Sorry, your question wording is a bit off, so I'm a bit in doubt but I'll assume you meant "Aren't hablar and 'decir' interchangeable in this case?". If that was your question, it's a good one:
Unlike English "tell" (I assume you "translated" to Spanish from that), "decir" is a transitive verb, i.e. it needs a direct object, so you need to somehow specify what you tell the visitors about the subject. Even if you do so, in that context the verb "contar" would fit better. A quick example would be either:
[...]les hablo [a ellos] sobre[...]
or
[...]les cuento [a ellos] pequeñas historias sobre[...]
if you use "decir" instead, it would sound like you're telling them something they specifically asked you / needed to know / has some sort of back story.
