Yep, been having a good week by my standards. I am hoping to keep doing something each day. The trick seems to be committing to at least starting something each day (starting is the harder part). I've been pretty inconsistent through the year, but I am prepared to cut myself some slack and just keep picking up after each falter or false start. I am definitely moving onto German on August 11th (can hardly wait!), consistent with my original plan of learning as much as conveniently possible of a new language each year. I am hoping I will have crammed enough French language basics into my noggin by then that I can continue to expand my knowledge through non-study sources (conversation, reading, the ubiquitous television) casually on a lifetime basis. Pimsleur II, unit 13 (a second time) and unit 14 (twice - once in the morning and a second time in the evening).

I seem to have fallen off the wagon, or under the wagon, or whatever it is one does vis-a-vis a wagon in relation to having failed in an ongoing personal commitment - in my case, a short-lived undertaking to post daily so far as it was logistically possible. Did manage to get some French in, though not as much as I had intended. FSI Basic - units 2.4, 2.5, 2.6 CIG, chapter 12 and 13 Pimsleur II, unit 16 again Frenchpod101.com, units 11, 12, 13 and 14 multiple times Anki - a bit Media: in respect of David Carradine's death, watched some of Tuer Bill, volume 1 - French audio but no subtitles.
