I just finished Season 3 of Avatar.
My eyes are sore from watching seven episodes back to back.
I know it's not much. But I watched 61 episodes of Avatar and enjoyed every bit of it.
Plus, I can understand a lot more of spoken French now. The West Wing doesn't seem so formidable any more.
Yeah! :)

Congratulations! It's really amazing how much difference the first 30 hours of TV can make, isn't it? And I'm such a fan of Iroh.
What I found was that I saw big listening gains with my first series, but when I started a second series, not all of gains carried over immediately, and it took me a while to get back to where I was with the first series. But after I watched 3 or 4 series, I could get into each new series quicker and quicker. And eventually I could just turn on the TV, and follow the majority of the shows. Of course, I still run into series that require a special effort, but they're mostly native series for adults, with complicated plots or lots of colloquial speech.
La Légende de Korra isn't quite as a good as L'Avatar, but it has some awesome moments. The dub is also very good.

Thanks. The TV shows and BDs you recommend are always fun to watch. It felt wonderful to be able to understand the jokes and the puns in the show.
Iroh is great. I have grown so attached to him, Aang and the others that I'll probably not watch Korra right away. :-)
I'm watching Rome(HBO) now. I can understand most of what's being said, then again, this is a show I've already seen in English.

I just read another BD recommended by emk. (The last one was Persepolis.)
It's called "Le chat du rabbin 1" (The rabbi's cat 1)
It's a story about a rabbi, his daughter and their cat. One day, the cat starts talking. Worried that a talking cat may lead his daughter astray, he separates the two. The cat must learn the Torah and become a good Jew before it can return to its mistress...

I've ordered the book "L'orthogrape pour tous". I should get it by the end of this week.
I already have the other two Bescherelle books. La grammaire (that I havn't much read) and la conjugaison (I've used it a couple of times).

Last night, my tablet died on me. I took it to the service centre today and they said it's going to cost Rs. 7000/- to have it fixed. I could probably get a new one for Rs. 12000/-.
R.I.P. dear tablet. You have served me well these past two years. You will be missed. ;(
