Since I am jumping back into this whole Georgian thing, I will give a quick update. So
fat, since I started studying again, I have listened to a few of the dialogues from
Kiziria. That's all in terms of books. Today I read a very short article which came
with an interview on Radio Tavisupleba.
It was
this one

I also watched a little bit of Nichieri....and I think that's it. Later today I am
going to read some Aronson.

Edit: I forgot to say, I read a bit of a blog that I found. It's called Bunbunlandia.
It's very pretty. :)

I also watched a TED talk (in English) with Georgian subtitles. I couldn't follow along
that much though, because I can't read that fast. It didn't help that it was about
cosmology and multiverses and things of that nature, either!

I think it would take ages to read a paragraph and I wouldn't be able to get all the meaning, especially if there are unknown verbal forms. Maybe I'll start reading news only after I'm done with the newspaper reader (which I will start when I'm done with the Russian book I'm using now).

How do you proceed? Do you have to translate a lot? Any troubles?

I usually read whole sentences without stopping to look things up. I understand the
grammar, it's just that I don't know a lot of vocabulary, so I can sometimes figure out
words from the context. For example, in that article I linked to I figured out a couple
words without looking them up. But towards the end of it I did have to look a lot of
words up, yes.

I gave the article you mentioned a try and I still have trouble making sense out of the whole sentence, mostly due to unusual word order, with verb at the end. That is, I have the same problem I do with German.

Are you talking about a specific sentence or just sentences in general?
