Ah ok, that makes sense. Actually, right after I wrote my last post I started to notice the same kind of
structure in Beginner's Georgian. But I hadn't figured out that it was only for inanimate things. Thanks for
explaining! Now I wonder why that guy said "arian"...

I recently found a pretty decent Georgian music site here.
You can either stream songs individually or download them (which is proving to be helpful for me - I'm planning on learning a new song each month).

I've know this site for long. Just don't trust all the infos on the names of the songs. When in doubt, google for parts of the lyrics then try lyrics.ge for them.

Thank you so much for that site! It's gonna take me a long time to find things though... There's so much! And
Expugnator, I tried that lyrics site and it doesn't work. Are you sure that's the right name?
So today I went over the rest of chapter 8 in Beginner's Georgian, and listened to all the previous dialogues
over again. Other than that I just searched for music on that site hrhenry suggested. I found a couple things,
but I think I've probably listened to less than 1% of the stuff on there so far. The really hard part though is
finding lyrics...
Oh yeah, I also re-discovered an excellent source of language learning material... religious stuff! I found an
iPhone app where you can read and/or listen to the bible in literally any language you can think of. And when
I say literally I mean literally. So if you're learning an obscure language and you can't find many materials,
you should definitely consider checking that out. Unless it's Klingon or something like that, they'll have it.
Unfortunately, they only have audio for Georgian at the moment. Now I'm not religious, but I was listening to
the New Testament in Georgian and it's pretty cool! Especially since I read it in a language I know
beforehand, so I understood more than I normally would. The creators (no pun intended) of this app are also
doing this thing called the Jesus project or something like that, and it has a LOT of languages. There's also
some Seventh Day Adventist radio station with obscure languages. Not the most exciting material in the
world, but good for people who like unusual languages. :)
So, that's all for today megobrebi. :)

Don't know what happened. Try http://www.geolyrics.com in the meanwhile.
You could share here the names of the songs you like, then we could try finding lyrics.
Jeovah's Witnesses also have a multilingual site with magazines and such, Georgian included.

Oh yeah, that too. I forgot about that.
Can someone please translate this song for me? Or at least tell me what it's about?
It's really hard for me to figure out. Thanks.

ვინმე? :(
I just want to say, that I changed my language learning schedule since school started, so
I will update differently now. Since I am now going to study Georgian five days per week,
I won't update every time I study like I did at first. I will just update when I have
something to say, but still no less than a couple times a week. :)

OK, I don't think I can understand it all, but here's the first bit.
You Should Only Love One Woman
You should only love one woman and not a whole herd. (Haha, how misogynistic is that? Maybe it has a
different nuance in Georgian).
I too only love one woman in this world, and I'm not hiding it.
You made me cry you beauty (not sure if I have that bit right)
With your black eyes.
If I never see you again I'll melt
Like the dew melts the snow on the mountain (again, not sure...)
And then I get stuck. Something about climbing the mountain and if she stops trusting him something will
happen, and then he repeats the first bit.
Guess I won't be making a living as a Georgian translator for a while at least...
