An interesting list of topics, Magdalene. It seems your brainstorming paid out. Thank you.

As team leader, my main concern is to keep people interested in their target languages. At the end of the day, this team's success will be measured by how much each one of us enjoyed our learning and kept it going.

I'd like to invite you all to take a good look at the flag lists in the first page. You'll notice that there's quite a few starting A0s and A1s, and no one claiming to be an advanced learner. Some tough languages, too. Keeping all aboard will be a challenge in itself.

I'm going to wait a few more days before posting a summary of our team's composition and stated objectives. In the mean time, I suggest we all look at Magdalene's list and try to find self-motivating challenges, i.e., activities we are comfortable with and that will keep us going forward.

Also: feel free to bypass any activity you are not comfortable with. This is not boot camp. The only thing mandatory is to enjoy yourself.

Hi everyone, I'm not precisely sure how much time I'm going to dedicate to adding on new languages these year, but these are the languages I've assembled my beginner resources for and have started playing around with a bit.

Hindi - A1 --> B1
Thai - A1 --> A2
Malay - A0 --> A1
Telugu - A0 -- > A1

Most likely I'll be focusing most of my time on Hindi, because I have much more interesting materials for it, but I expect to spend some time focusing on each of these languages at some point in the near future and at least getting my foot in the door for each of them and getting at least some basic sentence structures consolidated in my head.

I'll be continuing my current log, with new entries starting on page 6.

Certamente. Potete venire tutti e due, quando avrete trovato le lettere maiuscole nella vostra tastiera.

Sorry, just practising the futuro anteriore. Couldn't resist.

Of course you can join. I'll get the tricolore.

grazie mille luso! :)

no seriously, in a forum is already a lot if i don't write like 'y u no w8 4 me', should be appreciated my effort :)

It's actually against the rules, even if it's not enforced strictly. I once got warned by PM for not using "proper English" :D I think it was after a long-ish text in lowercase and with many smilies :P
