I've finally started learning things today (writing answers to analytical chemistry exam questions). Of course, I can't do it without pauses. Having finished 7th question I feel hunger (not a first break, I should say). This time I decided to eat an apple. I couldn't write while eating, but it was quite possible for me to browse internet.
Constantly appearing B2, C1 and C2 marks with languages you know/ study make me somewhat curious about my English level every damn day. I may have passed this test before... but here we go:
I'm sure that's just a coincidence :)

Please tell us more about New Year celebrations in Russia! I would love to learn more about that! What do
you eat, when are presents given out, are there any special routines or traditions?

Solfrid Cristin, ok, let's try...
Usually all the preparations begin with New Year spruce (or Christmas tree, if you need something to compare with). We decorate them pretty similar to Christmas tree: balls, fire garlands and so on.
30th and 31st of December is usually a nightmare. We rushing in shops, buying presents and ingredients for food. On 31st we're cooking or finishing with shops, but cooking, of course, is the matter of first importance. As for what we cook... salads: оливье (eng wiki), сельдь под шубой (eng wiki. Earlier you could also see винегрет (eng wiki). Of sandwiches - of course, bread, butter and caviar (black or red - it's up to cooks to decide).
There my mother stopped helping me and I really don't know what else to add but tangerines and champagne. With all that madness we gather somewhere about 23:55, listen to our president's congratulation, open champagne(the louder the better, haha) and drinking while clock strikes twelve.
I remember accepting presents right after that first drink is over, but the older you get - the less important that becomes. It'd be ok to give presents at 31st or even earlier (if you're sure that you won't meet again until New Year comes).
Presents for family usually put under the tree and then a game "how not to open it before midnight" begins - but, as I've already said, that's not a necessity.
Ok, that's it, I really don't know what else to add :)

My SoundCloud account if full, but that doesn't mean an end of recording my reading. So... here we go.
Feel free to tell me everything you think about it, it's very hard to offend me when it comes to criticizing (unless you are a troll - but it'd rather make me angry).

Last two days were in mist because I've managed to write 30 question out of 52 for my analytical chemistry exam, but today I decided not to think about it. It's Sunday, after all! First Sunday in 2014! Bye-bye, my black pen and my awfully written lections...
I watched German film - Das Bernsteinamulett (original sound + Rus subs - 8/10). I'll have to erase in from my laptop, but I'll leave it somewhere else in order to practice my German when the time comes. Movie of no action, plenty of time to think and relax - what could be better?

For whatever it's worth (as someone who doesn't actually have any "real" qualifications to assess levels aside from having heard many different levels of English), I wouldn't disagree with C1. Congratulations!

Good work! You still have a fairly strong accent, but you're able to make yourself understood most of the time. Not entirely sure what type of feedback would be most useful. I've listed below all the words that I wasn't able to understand just listening, some I was able to infer from the context in the sentence, others I had to check the text to figure out. Hope this is useful.
~0:37 - nearly (inferred through context)
~0:41 - vague musty smell
~0:48 - stronger and really nasty
~0:53 - out on the landing (inferred through context)
~0:59 - weird
~1:12 - moaning (inferred through context)
~1:37 - every breath made ... white
~2:05 - handle (inferred through context)
~2:17 - back (inferred through context)
~2:49 - relieved (inferred through context)
~2:57 - weak
~3:07 - friend (inferred through context)
~3:33 - contacting ... remained ... seances
~4:08 - vital (inferred through context)
~4:12 - half hour
~4:33 - planning (inferred through context)
~4:36 - thoroughly
~4:44 - their (inferred through context)

I would suggest slowing down your speaking speed.
Good job!

Current situation in everything:
Today morning was all about German invasion in my boring and scary pre-session life. I re-watched Die kommenden Tage, listened to some songs, even planned to read something and record it, but my head really hurts and my preparations for exams are faaaar away from being finished.
But I do like new design of Duolingo, that may inspire to to try and make a strike... may, just may.
