I could've sworn i posted an update since the last entry in this log. if anyone is
following the 6wc challenge my name is hughmyronlul so you can see that i have indeed
still been very actively learning polish.
I am booking my flights to poland with my partner this coming week so i am very excited
about that.
anyway. i think i have a few hundred hours of polish studied this year. french has
dropped off but i think i will be picking up some Italian because my girlfriend has
organised us to go to a language school in italy and enjoy the culture as she did before.
anyway, i hope everyones doing well and do zobaczenia

Flights booked, Italian school paid for. Everything is happening very quickly.
I have been using my lonely planet phrasebook a lot recently, because it is so mobile,
however i am returning back to my studies using colloquial polish, first year polish
and harry potter L-R.
I have Assimil Italian with ease an i plan to do a handful of lessons each week, quite
lazily and sporadically. I would like a solid A1 foundation before we go to the
italian school so I dont have to be with beginner groups saying
my name is. Mi chiamo Nick...
I'm from, sono di
Im well, sto bene, male, benissimo, molto bene
etc
Thats it for now, peace!

Hi!
I just wanted to update my log because of today's success!
I work in a mobile phone shop part-time and we had a customer come in who was polish!
Long story short, instead of selling a plan we just coversed for 20 minutes. The
adrenaline, my god it feels good.
Maybe i will be ready for poland in 1.5 months time.

It's really encouraging to read success stories like yours. It's a good reminder that the little victories mean a lot.

Hi Straya,
Like many other logs I'm dropping a line to see if you're still out there learning. Many
of us have moved to the alternative how-to-learn-any-language.org site. You're most
welcome to join us there or continue here (or of course do nothing if life's gotten in
the way).
Hope to hear from you soon!
