Over the past two years here on HTLAL I found a few friends, a lot of support and a great deal of motivation. Having a log here is one of the best decisions I
have ever made, it has changed my life and this is not an exaggeration. There's always a room for improvement, I think. I have overcome the "I can't study languages" stereotype and the problems it causes (although I'd say it transformed into "I will never become a proper polyglot", hehe). Personally I have two problems left: laziness and lack of social skills (another name for it would be "antisocial lazy bum"). And there's a bullet to make holes in both these problems at once, which is, as you already can guess, tandem learning. Now this is just my case described up there. We all can have all sorts of reasons to go looking for a tandem. So this is the place to start your hunt. Instructions: 1) Write about what you need and what you can offer, what do you expect from a tandem 2) Leave contact info in case PM here are troublesome 3) If a tandem is organised, edit your post (or posts) to point it out 4) If you create a tandem thread, add a link __________ My personal application follows: 1) I need someone who studies/ knows German/ English/ Esperanto or Russian (maybe French, not sure though) to give bits of motivation/ criticism/ help. I can help with Russian, share some motivation or criticism just as well. Understanding of my obsessions over some music/ series/ films/ books or even sharing them is, of course, much appreciated. A tandem in my view is two people communicating regularly about learning languages, helping each other, etc. 2) I'm viadiva9 on Twitter, Facebook and vkontakte, but you can also just write in my log, if that's easier. 1 person has voted this message useful |
