It’s very dangerous for me to listen to Brazilian music because I immediately want to learn Portuguese and I don’t have the time! I think Portuguese is even more beautiful than Spanish in song. I’ll listen to those when I have more time tonight…

Despite I am Brazilian, Brazilian music is not my cup of tea though...except a few bands or singers....however, I'd rather find out new stuff from other countries and then download them....so I have loads of CDs with MP3 in many languages.....that's why I started this thread....
As for Guilherme Arantes, I make sure you'll likely enjoy his songs....so will you run the risk to avoid learning Portuguese after you've listened the songs?

For those interested in music from all around the world I can highly recommend a music label called Putumayo. They basically create CDs with local artists based on a theme. Such as 'Mediterranean Odyssey', or 'Women of Africa' or 'Gypsy Caravan'. There's a great deal of variety in what they offer. Looking for some Turkish pop? Or some funky Arabic contemporay music? Here is an example of a some of the music on their CDs:
(Reggae song)

(Greek song)

Or one of my fav songs of all time, despite not being able to understand a word of Turkish:

Or a Japanese singer that I've liked for the past 6 years, Shiina Ringo (椎名林檎)

Any good recommendations for Dutch music? Would like to grab some good music to help with pronunciation practice.
Thanks in advance.
