Russian:

Did half of Unit 7 of my Grammar book.

Total: 1 hour 30 min

Okay so I am actually considering dropping French for now and actually study Spanish. While I do speak it fluently and understand it very well. I believe it is essential for me to do a thorough study of Spanish to truly grasp how the language works. I feel it is also important for me to be able to write it perfectly and start reading books in Spanish.

I really hate to do this but I know that if I get a better feel for Spanish grammar, vocab, etc, that it will help me later on when I pick up French again (also if I decide to pick up more Romance languages).

Sorry French...I still love you and I am waiting anxiously till we meet again..soon :'(

Spanish:

Completed 3 exercises on my Spanish grammar book

Total: 1 hour

German:

Met up at Peet's coffee with 3 other buddies from my German class. We completed 1 part of our homework together and after an hour and a half we took a break. An hour later only two of us re-met and studied German some more. We agreed to speak ONLY in German for 30 minutes and try to keep a conversation going. Although we were there for 3 hours we did spend a good portion going off topic and having a good time. Which is good because you definitely need to take a break so it doesn't become boring. So I believe we spent a total of 2 hours doing German (+ 1 hr 30 from earlier)

Total: 3 hours 30 min

Italian:
Completed Michel Thomas Italian CD 6: 1 hour
Watched the first part (out of four) of an Italian movie 'La Meglio gioventù'. Pretty interesting movie: 1 hour 30 min

Total: 2 hours 30 min

Well seeing as it is Friday now and I probably wont have time to do the weekly update since I am closing tomorrow. I will do that now. Let's see how I did this week...im getting the feeling that it is not going to be so great..

French: +0 (decided to hold off on French for now)
Russian: +12 hours
German: + 23 hours (WOW!)
Italian: + 8 hours 30 min
Spanish: + 1 hour

=

Russian:--132 Hours 00 min
French:---121 Hours 40 min (Not actively studying)
German:--117 Hours 30 min
Italian:-----32 Hours 30 min
Ukrainian:---5 Hours (Not actively studying)
Mandarin:---3 Hours (Not actively studying)
Spanish:----2 hours (Already fluent; brushing up on grammar, reading, and practicing writing)
Croatian:---1 Hour (Not actively studying)
Latin:-------1 Hour (Not actively studying)

Okay not as bad as I thought. I figured since I didn't do much for the first 2 days of the week that I feel behind but I did do a lot for German not only that but eliminating French (for now) has allowed me to contribute time elsewhere. This week I felt like I accomplished a lot in Russian. I'm glad because for a month now I felt I was falling behind.

On Monday I start meeting with the Russian tutor at my school so that will be a good hour spent on practicing :)...she is also a German tutor so even better!
