Not trolling. It happens every time MT's pronunciation and non-MT-led courses come up in the forum. And I find it humorous every time, since the people that typically say it couldn't possibly have completed every course. Michel Thomas Spanish: completed Foundation, Advanced, Language Builder, Vocabulary Italian: completed Foundation, Advanced, Language Builder French: completed Foundation, Advanced German: completed Foundation Other teachers: Dutch: completed Foundation Russian: completed Foundation (skipped Cyrillic alphabet lesson at the end) Polish: at least half of Foundation Japanese: 3-4 CDs of Foundation Mandarin: 1-2 CDs of Foundation Arabic: First CD of Foundation only Portuguese: Free sample from website. I hope you are not being evasive, as I believe you are a trustable poster. If you believe I misquoted you, or if you didn't understood my question, I will repeat what you said with your exact words: You said (as already quoted above) that "MT is for native English speakers and uses points of English grammar that most foreign learners have never learnt". I can't help but notice there isn't a single "Advanced" among that list of mostly unfinished courses. While it is indeed possible to "force" onself to complete every course, I've not seen a single person do so. And that's why I find it silly to read that these non-MT-led courses are inferior (whether foundation or advanced).
