MT Advanced CD3-4
Observations: I have found that MT Advanced Course in French is very well structured, and it covers alot of
ground regarding grammar and the various tenses. The great thing about it is that MT really does make it fun
and easy to learn. I have enjoyed it thoroughly and I have learnt many things which were not covered or not
explained well when I had attended actual French evening classes. Thanks MT!

MT Language Builder CD1-2
French Film with English Subtitles: "Irma Vep" & "Les Compères"
Observations: Having finished the entire MT Audio, I would like to make an official recommendation for the MT
Advanced Course. I would have to say that it was the most useful from the 3 programs that I used, but perhaps it
was useful because I believe myself to be of an intermediate level. What I particularly liked about the Michel
Thomas Advanced course was that it went through several, if not all, of the important grammar tenses required
to get a wholistic understanding of the french language. I particular like how MT makes links between all of the
tenses so that you can make mental connections and make it 'stick' in your mind.
I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to brush up on their grammar, and I will undoubtedly choose
to re-listen to MT Advanced if ever I need to brush up on my tenses in the future.
Now for the next program in French!

Observations:
BOREDOM, MUSIC & LIGHT READING
Reading pure grammar of either French or Tagalog, can at times, make me feel that it is such a
drag. Fortunately, one idea to make reading the grammar notes more fun is to put some French or Tagalog music
in the background to make me feel the language not only think about the language.
Another idea is to lightly read over the grammar points, and not to get too bogged down by it.
I'll try this from now on and see how I feel about studying in this manner.
WEEKENDS & LACK OF TIME?
A further observation is that I noticed that on Saturday and Sunday I wasn't able to study because of an
unexpected schedule and eventual lack of time to study languages. Perhaps I should have anticipated of this
challenge in lack of time. If it occurs again, I'll think more seriously about creating a plan or solution.

Observations:
LITTLE BIT OF GRAMMAR PER DAY GOES A LONG WAY
Another effective method that I have found is to do readings of just a bit pages or topics of grammar per day,
and NOT to do 3 hours or 1 hour worth of grammar reading. Just reading a bit of grammar per day will help me
finish it gradually, for example, the Sparks Charts Grammar for French, while I can use the rest of the 3hr time
devoted to French for doing more interactive activities.
