Minor nitpick:
iterum = again
iter = journey, trip, passage, etc.
I hasten to add that I concentrate on classical Latin, while you, if I'm not mistaken, are into later Latin. So I recognize that it's possible iter took on the meaning of "again" sometime in the last millenium or so, and that I'm simply unaware of this evolution. I'm curious if this is indeed true.
