I apologize for my previous statement as I realise it may have been a little too harsh. I simply meant to say that it seemed to me as if the two particular speakers of Portuguese I listened to mumbled and swallowed a lot of what they were saying and the sound of this did not appeal to me. It was not my intention to insult anyone and I'm sorry if I did. |

I find your dislike for Portuguese humorous, because you are studying Papiamento, which is a Portuguese-based creole language. |

I guess that does seem a bit weird, however I am not familiar enough with Portuguese to actively 'dislike' it not to mention I never chose to study Papiamentu for its beauty anyway.

Spoken French is the best. It doesn't sound very nice when sung.
Italian sounds nicer when sung.
Spanish sounds nice spoken and sung.
Portuguese.. hmmmm...
^^ And of course every language sounds better when spoken by a woman. Women tend to be more melodic.

Brazilian Portuguese, hands down! No other language, past or present, has had so much energy, so much life! (Hey, I figure if I'm going to cast a vote, I might as well do it with conviction :P)

I'm torn between French & Portuguese...
I'll choose French, then.
