Italian has a wonderful sound to it, thanks to the many vowels at the end of words.

Romanian without a doubt, because of the unique-sounding combination of Romance and Slavic. Made all the more beautiful by the fact that I can't understand it yet!

Romanian!

My favorites in descending order:

I voted for Spanish (it's my first love!), but Romanian comes in a close second. I'm surprised Italian has so many votes--I think it sounds kind of harsh with its rhythm. And don't worry about not including Catalan. As much as I love the language, I don't think I've ever heard somebody call it "beautiful"!

Romanian, definitely! I really dislike the sound of all the other Romance languages (except for perhaps Portuguese), but Romanian is lovely. It's definitely on my language hit list :)

I chose Portuguese, because I simply love it, though Romanian isn't less beautiful.
Don't worry about Catalan, it's my beloved mother tongue, but I don't think it sounds beautiful at all, and I wouldn't like to see it down on the list! 1 person has voted this message useful | |
