Italian, hands down. Just BEAUTIFUL. I simply cannot understand how anyone could feel differently :-)
Also fond of Spanish of course, though I prefer Catalan out of the two, though I am biased of course. Shame on the system for not letting you include it. And brownie points to the OP for apologizing for not including it...

I don't understand people's fascination with Italian being such a beautiful
language. Someone please enlighten me.
Portuguese and French are by far, in my opinion, the most beautiful Romance languages.

I reckon it's probably the same as with me and French. If I have to ask, I'll probably never understand. I always find myself thinking, what IS it with people and French?! cause I'm just not feeling the love like they do. Same thing with Italian except the tables are turned and the francophiles of the world wonder why I love it so much...
Always found the "romance languages" label funny, what with both French and Italian being considered the Language of Love (different one by different people, have a guess which camp I'm in) as well as being languages that some people love for no particular reason and others feel nothing for.
</weird> (I'm tired.)

I completely agree vikramkr. I like Italian, but for me it would come in 4th or 5th. It is hard to choose though, because all of them are pleasant to listen to.

Hm, I'd also like to add, it depends on which dialect we're talking about. I love the sound of Argentine Spanish, but I can't stand Castillian. I like the sound of Brazilian Portuguese but not Continental. I love Cajun French (Acadiana) and the French spoken in Tours (I'm a bit biased here, as it's the one I'm used to hearing), but not so much African French.
