Okay, response to the question... I do take classes for these languages and have for many years. During class I simply listen to what the teacher says, paying attention to the grammar that we are learning at the moment and also the grammar of whatever the teacher happens to be saying. Outside of class, I rarely if ever study. Occasionally I will review some vocabulary words if we are having a test or something, but I never review grammar because I can see it once and remember it. One important thing that I do do, however, is I listen to a lot of music, read, or watch videos in my target languages. I pay attention to the grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation when I'm doing these things, and eventually it just kind of soaks in. I just try to learn by "living" the language rather than opening my textbooks and memorizing. Somewhat of a lengthy reply, but it's the truth. 1 person has voted this message useful | ||||||

So you attend language lessons without to doing any homework for them. For you it's enough to listen to what the teacher says. My conclusion is that you must have an excellent memory. My memory is not so good, so for me it's necessary to do language excercises at home and even cramming. Having a good memory is an advantage for all kinds of learning, that's true. So, I'm a female.
1.) What was your motivation for Learning Languages? I just love learning languages. And English is my job. 2.) Was it difficult for you with all of your other responsibilities? It wasn't difficult before I started the family. Now it's difficult to find time for learning, let alone writing on the forum. For example, when my husband has a day off, he can play computer games several hours in a row. I have to cook, clean, iron, walk the baby. Only now have I learnt how precious the time is. 3.) Do you think that it is a male dominated arena? Difficult question. At University the students of the language department were mostly female. But most of them landed on secretarial and managerial jobs where they need only English, some are teachers. You have to have the inner desire for language study, and in reality I've seen equally few men and few women with such obsession. 4.) Did you simply learn out of a desire or a need as your environment dictated? First I had to learn English at school, then it turned into interest. Hi together,
My nickname on You Tube is Fasulye2009, I've just opened my first You Tube account.I've already written down the whole interview with questions and answers as a concept. Of course on the video itself I will improvise the answers. I will speak four languages and it's interesting, because there is an American man speaking four languages (in his case ENG, FRA, SPA and Arabic) on You Tube. I am looking forward to the recordings, because I've never done such a project and I am very curious. I'm OBSESSED with learning languages. Traveling and learning about languages and different cultures is my biggest passion. I want to learn languages to understand different perspectives and communicate with interesting people abroad. I have a tattoo on my ribs that says in Czech, "For every language you learn you gain a new life." I'm THAT dedicated! haha. I don't think its a male dominated area. Its just seems that men get more credit in any area in life.
