You can get inspiration for your future experiences, possibly make good friends and definitely discover good books on an internet forum.

Rampant sexism and stupidity? The quality of newbies on this forum is sorely lacking.
IF one were to take the route that there are different areas of specialization between the sexes, then if the initial assumption is true (that there are measurable differences because of biology) then women have more talent in language learning. Don't like it? Suck it up and read something that's not an internet forum for once because a multitude of studies have been done. When I was on exchange for a year during high school, a majority of the people who went were boys and we all started out on roughly the same level (little to no prior German knowledge) but it was mostly girls who came out of it the most fluent. The guys, as a rule, had funny accents, said things that were mostly translations of what they'd say in English (which made no sense once translated into German) and didn't really exhibit and wonderful natural edge for language learning.
However, this assumption goes against what I think personally. I'm one of out 5 females in a male intensive major at my university (physics) and I see absolutely no difference between the girls and boys. They don't 'grasp scientific concepts easier' and we all have to grind through the difficult concepts at the same rate. And no, they don't make insightful comments or grand connections more often, unless you consider 'hey guys, what would happen if I threw a cat into a black hole?' as a scientifically superior observation :P

"Did you just call me sexist and stupid?"
See, this is the issue when you go looking for a fight. I wasn't targeting you, I was referring more to the posters on the earlier pages who had the attitude 'lawl wimmins kant do nuttin rights becoz they're stoopid /smug'
You asked a perfectly reasonable question, I don't see any reason why it would be constituted as either sexist and stupid.

Are we supposed to take your personal experiences that there is no sexual difference
in the ability to "grasp scientific concepts easier" as a general rule despite
abundant testing which shows why there are differences?
Interestingly enough, you have at least show that there is a male domination in a
specialized intellectual field, if we are to believe that there are no differences in
ability to "grasp" these concepts. If this is true, you've still demonstrated that men
are by a huge margin more involved in these fields than women are. I don't think
anyone denied that women can be geniuses, just that it is simply far less
statistically likely. Pointing out that there is a strongly male ratio along with
claiming that there is no gender differential (while obviously ignoring the presence
of the ratio) doesn't help your case.
Also, from where did you reach the conclusion that women are better at language
learning? I'm curious to know.
