Bark --> an old ship
Knarre ---> another old ship (in German (Low and High), Danish and other Nordic languages). Seen from the front end it was rather broad, so it was used as a slang expression on Iceland in the viking age to denote well endowed women.

Currach [gaeilge] - a canoe
The currach was a specific type of canoe found in the west of Ireland. It's most famous as the boat that St.Brendan used to traverse the Atlantic in the 6th century, and discover America (Vinland). See Currach .
