эх = "OH my GOD!!!" in American English (my reaction when I saw that Sennin had forgotten 'э')
The funny thing is that something similar can be found at the other end of the alphabet:
ах! (another Russian interjection, something like "Oh no" in English)
ахать = to say "ах"
