I'm going to have at least two or three months of full Korean immersion, starting in three weeks. I'm really curious where this is going to get my Korean skills.
Perhaps I'm going to start another language (maybe French) in the second half of the year.
And actually some time should go into improving my Mandarin reading and listening skills...

I want to improve my Italian to the point where I can understand most of the things that are said on television with ease.
As soon as this goal is attained I will set myself a new target.

My goals for 2006 are:
1) English: improving my active vocabulary by reading, listening to the radio, and watching movies. I'm also planning to take CPE (Cambridge Proficiency Exam) at the end of the year.
2) French: improving my active vocabulary by reading, listening to the radio, and watching films. Going through a great book I have discovered and bought on the net ("Le français en contexte").
3) Japanese: improving my active vocabulary, and completing these two course books.
Good luck to everyone!

My goal for 2006 is to learn Spanish. I started last week. Hopefully by next summer I will be able to move on to Spanish 2

1) Finish FSI French (currently working on level 2).
2) Hopefully do some immersion in French somewhere around summer/autumn 2006. I don't know whether this, together with 1) + some other activities will be enough to bring me up to ILR 3, but that would be the hope.
3) Sometime later in the year, start/make some decent progress on another language, most likely Spanish (Platiquemos).
There is more that I would like to do of course, but I would be quite happy if I can finish these three goals.

1) Finish my Homeric Greek course (a month or two left) and grind my way through the rest of the Iliad. In the fall, I'll start a classroom Attic course. In the very unlikely event that I finish the Iliad, I could start the Odyssey or, more likely, try the Homeric Hymns or Hesiod (much shorter works).
2) Return to full literacy in French. I bought an old introductory-level textbook as a quick refresher course, and then I'll try a French book.
3) If all goes well, I might try a little bit of Italian late in the year as preparation for Latin (next fall) as well as for its own merits. I studied it a bit before going to Italy when I was in middle school and amazingly remember most of it (and remember that the basic vocabulary, at least, is extremely similar to French's, and that I could "see through" Italian much more easily than I could Spanish), and I can understand a good amount of the written language.

I plan on finally getting my Russian up to a high level. I'm planning on being in the Ukraine for around 8 or 9 months next year. I leave in a week! :) I also have Assimil so, I'll be passively using my french too...
After Russian... I may finally "finish" my French. I know it wouldn't take a lot, maybe 3 months at 2-3 hours a day. I read fairly well, just haven't really had a need/chance to speak in 3 years. After that Italian, or Spanish.
And somewhere in there I'm going to have to maintain my Chinese.
I also plan on being more organized, and not jumping around between languages like I have in the past. I want to learn one, then go to the next, effectively cutting through them all like a surgical knife until I know 'em all. :)
