1) Complete my review of Polish with Oscar Swan's "Intermediate Polish" and the textbooks: "Przygoda z gramatyka", "Isc czy jechac?" and "Czas na czasownik" (by June)
2) Start review of Hungarian using FSI Hungarian I and Hungarian II (in July)

Japanese: I recently wrote a bunch of junk about this: I plan to complete my textbook (Japanese for Everyone), blast through the 2000 kanji and take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test in December (probably level 3, but maybe level 2 if I get really ambitious).
I haven't made any definite resolutions for other languages yet. I do intend to finish Pimsleur Mandarin. I also want to spend some time brushing up either Greek or Latin (maybe both), but I haven't yet plotted out exactly how I'm going to do that.

By the end of 2006 I'm wanting to have increased my Korean vocabulary to at least 8000 words through reading novels and newspapers, and watching dramas and movies - I've brought a wealth of material home from Seoul, so I'll have no shortage for a change.
Adding to this I'm aiming at improving my Polish considerably since I'll be seeing my family in 2007.

I just joined so I thought I'd post my language goals too.
I hope to finish FSI German 1 & 2, increase my vocabulary by reading newspapers and watching movies and find someone to speak with.
I also just got the synergy Spanish thing so I'll plough through that and get my Spanish up and running too.
Reading some posts I've heard about FSI proficiency levels and tests and am just wondering what they are and where I could attempt them.

Only God knows what my language plans for 2006 will be. Maybe I will continue learning languages of India(Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil), or maybe I will tackle some easy European language, as Finish or Hungarian, or something easier than Hungarian as Slovak, Croatian, Slovenian or Ukrainian; or maybe I will try some African tongue as Lingala, Swahili or Yoruba(which I certainly will never learn properly); or maybe I will continue to learn Classical Chinese which I am learning at snail's rapidity; if so continues I will need several lives for it; hopefully I will reincarnate in China for the next life :))) |

It seems that my plans for this year will include Hungarian, Ukrainian, maybe Slovene at later point and Portuguese(continuation)

Mine are to finish Pimsleur I II III, and probably Barrons Mastering Spanish, or is there anything better suited after Pimsleur?
