Teams? Not a bad idea...
What I'd really like to see is people with the same level and the same goals (yes, hard to find) form a partnership and use the other person as inspiration to do more.

Teams could be interesting. How would we do this for those that are studying multiple languages at one time? Or we can see how many people there are actually doing TAC then split them into even groups:
Team A
Person 1: French and German
Person 2: Spanish and arabic
Person 3: Indonesian and Farsi
Person 4: Italian
Team B
Person 1: Arabic
Person 2: Romanian and Dutch
Person 3: etc
Person 4: etc
Team C
Person 1: Taglog and Croatian
Person 2: Swedish and English
Person 3: etc
Person 4: etc
That is if everyone is up for it and if we have enough people. Or we just roll with it and do it like it has in the past :) either way I am in

I love the idea of teams in order to inspire and motivate each other. I like Sprachprofi's idea of grouping people
with similar goals or levels. It could also be beneficial to group by language or number of languages, or intensity of
study. Either way, I'm in for 2010! :)

I also think the idea of teams is a great idea, but it should be a separate challenge from our personal TAC CHALLENGE. It will most likely bring a closer bond to other language learners on this site.
The 2010 TEAM TAC CHALLENGE should have it's own separate thread as well with its own rules. It will allow for individuals that may not want to be in a team to not have to enter the challenge or vice versa. It will also make the task easier for whoever will be grouping the teams together less difficult then it has to be because everyone will be able to voice their goals and inputs in the new thread!
There are many different ways to possibly run this challenge and we should have a discussion on the way it should be run. So who's going to head this Challenge? I think that it should be a veteran of this forum.
Well that is just my two cents!

I agree with Shadow, TAC then TAC Team Challenge. Also I agree with SprachProfi on levels, although that may be difficult. And YES we need a long time board member to set up this team challenge, we don't want some über noob gettin' pwned by long time users (hahaha sorry I had too)

I don't know whether I want a TAC challenge per se. But I do like the idea of team challenges. It will be quite encouraging to know you have team members working together with you, and knowing that some people will follow your log can be a good motivating factor.

Me too, I like the idea of "group TAC", separated from individual TAC. I think it will be stimulating if we have persons studing the language and native speakers in the same group

I'm in! In teams or not, I will participate anyway. In few days I'm going to make a plan of my study for 2010.
