Hi I was once directed to a website that had news articals in many languages every day. Suddenly I can't find it. I know it's a vague question but does anyone know what site I might be talking about. I find parallel texts great for learning a foreign language. Having a parallel text in a digital format is even better as sentences can be put directly into supermemo/anki.
Also I thought it might be good to make a list for all websites that offer parallel texts and offer a quick review of the site.
Here's a couple to start with.
http://www.unmultimedia.org
The UN site is obviously a good resource very thorough but only for advanced learners learning one of the worlds 'big' languages. There's also audio with the texts I found parallel texts in Chinese and English though it seemed that for other languages the same parallel text was not available. I'm currently learning Chinese, Esperanto and German so on this website i'm only good for one language.

This is/was a good site but the website doesn't come up any more. Is there a problem with the site or is it that i'm surfing the web in China?

http://www.franklang.ru/ has a lot of bilingual texts. You may need some Russian to navigate.

http://shalnov.ru/school/text-makebilingua.html has a few parallel texts. Most notably, it has an Esperanto-Russian "The Master and Margarita". I've gone through the first chapter, and the Esperanto translation seems to be good - it takes a couple of bizarre liberties, but less than most literary translations I've seen (regardless of language).
