There's a Canadian comedian named Brent Butt. I wonder if it was his name that got him started in comedy...

In elementary, my music teacher's last name is Dick. We kids could handle that pretty well, but her husband's name is Harry.

A translator I know told me about a job he did for a company, the surnames of the two main employees working on the project were "Kulås" and "Sørås". Perfectly normal-sounding surnames in Norwegian, but certainly an interesting duo if you pronounce their names in English...

I've always wondered why there are so many people in the UK with parts of their name sounding like 'dick' or 'cock'. Inter-lingual embarrassments are always possible but this is a real mystery. There are also some very unfortunate Bulgarian names, like Лимон (lemon) for example. Ridiculous fruit names are usually inflicted on girls but Лимон is a male name;

I had a great-uncle called Salami. It's a Yoruba name with no relation to the meat.
