Cool, I found your log! Very interesting. I'd love to know how going back to work affects
your learning. That is, if you go down from eight hours a day to say, two, will your
progress be significantly hampered? Obviously it's a quarter of the time, but I'd be
surprised if you only learnt a quarter as much. I'm a great believer in quality over
quantity. Much kudos for your work ethic and dedication, and looking forward to your next
update.

Exciting to see so many language journals popping up on the forum at this time of year.
Plenty of procrastination material.

Well that was kind of cool. I just had a nap and in it had my first dream in Italian. Me
and some friends were sitting at a table in a restaurant when the waiter came and took
our orders. I even remember what I ordered: Un bicchiere di limonata e un piatto di pasta
con pollo. I remember having to guess the word for lemonade and stumbling over what I
wanted to order. Rather amusing nevertheless.

I just watched my first Italian film, "Scusate il disturbo". I didn't have any subtitles
and only managed to understand about 10% of the dialogue. I could follow the main plot
and still really enjoyed it. The film is set in Buenos Aires and followed an Italian
family. After a while I could see myself warming up and able to understand more and more.

Progress slowed down a bit over the holiday break.

I've been busy with a number of other projects but making time for some Italian every
day. Don't break the chain and all that...
