I have rarely seen such a rambling, redundant and useless discussion. In French there's a wonderful expression, rather rarely used, "battre la campagne", that in my opinion applies here. This could be translated as "wander about aimlessly when speaking".

Is it possible to learn a foreign language?
Yes. You can learn ANYTHING faster if you pay the price for it. How? Take advantage of human nature. Play with your own and other human nature. Human beings are SOCIAL and EMOTIONAL animals. Therefore, if you want to learn faster (anything) you need: HIGHLY EMOTIONAL INTERACTION. This is the trick behind the sleigh in the hand magic. It's simple, basic and easy. How can you implement this basic principle? Think about basic human driving forces. For example, people need to be right. If you tell someone that is wrong, it will become emotional. The first words you need to know in other languages are: -"I disagree because..." -"You are wrong because..." The "because part" is important because you are giving them reasons and you can engage them in long highly emotional conversations. If you want to learn vocabulary about astronomy and syntax. Go to an astronomy foreign forum and start writing about this topic. Use all this vocabulary again and again...If you want to learn this vocabulary better, you must strongly disagree. You can use the "fish the troll" technique. Look for educated trolls in your target language and start arguing with them. They are a God's gift if you want to learn a language. I would like to have a "troll" forum in different languages. This is incredible and amazing. You can use the "lovely or sexy girl" technique. Men are morons when sex is in the background. If you are a woman, that's good. If you are a man, tell them you are a lovely Latin girl. They will imagine that you are like Shakira, Salma Hayek, Eva Longoria or Sofia Vergara. Take advantage of this. It doesn't matter if you look like a monster, their imagination will give you what you need: a lot of linguistic practice. Use the "show off-brag" technique. If you are learning a language and you are very bad, write bragging about your linguistic skills in that language. Much better if you make a video showing off about your incredible skills and giving classes about this language. Your video will suck and you will get a lot of native speakers and "experts" insulting you, teaching you and proving that you are wrong. You will get a lot of feedback and useful information and tons of practice. What's the point of making a video in languages you know very well? Waste of time for you. Please, make videos bragging about languages you don't know. This is free and legal. If morons don't like them, they can change the channel. Is it possible to learn a language using 4,000 hours TV? You can manage to understand the language like a native speaker. You won't be able to speak it. The problem with those input approaches is that they are the old "grammar translation" method without the "grammar" part. David Long is right when he talks about "experiential input". "Experiencial" is more deep and it means more emotion and deeper understanding and memories. How can you create this sort of "experiential" input if you don't live in the country? If you are into Songs, they can be a great resource because they are emotional by nature. Movies and sitcoms are very good because they have visuals and they have a lot of information. You can use anything you like a lot, anything highly emotional. If you watch a foreign movie and you laugh to dead, or you get scared to dead, or you get hot to explosion or you get incredible relaxed....you have a good emotional input. Once you have good understanding, you can use audio only input. The rules are the same. Use emotions to your advantage. Some polyglots use this guerrilla tactics. I don't know if they are aware. For example: -Moses uses these tactics a lot when he makes videos in languages that he doesn't know well. Read and observe the reactions now that you have the trick. -Cesare is doing this. When he makes a video about a language he has learned in an hour, he uses highly emotional methods and he gets a lot of isults, but feedback and practice. If he keeps doing this, he can be an extreme hyper polyglot. In short. If you want to learn ANYTHING faster, put a stick of dynamite in your ass.
