Honestly, those 2000 word will be for a year period. Also I am cheating because I started using common word for English and/or Spanish:

[/QUOTE] That's not cheating. 10% of Russian words are borrowed from French, so if you know English and Spanish that should cover those.If you know German it is probably even more than 10%. And it makes sense to learn the most common words first!
