Jules Vernes - Michel Strogoff, as requested:
Michel Strogoff HTML
And as an RTF file, for editing:
Michel Strogoff RTF
This translation looks a bit better, and will need less work.
In the files, '***' represents a paragraph break, and '###' represents a recognized
error
in alignment by the scripts.
Once edited, these files can be converted into better looking PDFs or HTML.

This is not necessarily ( :-) ) a request, but I was surprised and delighted to notice that there was a German translation of "Three Men in a Boat" by J.K.Jerome on gutenberg.spiegel.de.
http://gutenberg.spiegel.de/buch/2670/1
(It's a shame that there is no "Three Men on the Bummel"), but you can't have everything).
There is an English version on www.gutenberg.org (and 2 audiobooks!).
http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/308
It is also there in French, and apparently 2 different Catalan versions!
(Personally, I would be interested in German-English).
This is a popular book in English, and I suspect it would be an easy book for a language learner to read in their target language, if they knew it well in English, which many of us do.
EDITed to put the links in.

Will try to do it tomorrow, and also an English-Norweigen Alice-in-Wonderland.

I look forward to it! Getting Norwegian parallel texts seems near impossible.

Here's the raw output of the scripts for 'The Blockade Runners' (Jules Vernes)
The
Blockade Runners
The translation sometimes deviates a little from the French: the translation will
need some adapting to make a high-quality bilingual text, and the output cleaning up.
I imagine it will need about 15-20 hours work. Will there be any volunteers? If not, I
will find an alternative.
Thanks for the suggestion, Sprachprofi. I think the works of Karel Čapek would be for
Czech, too, if there are public domain translations. I've had a couple of requests for
materials for Norweign. Anyone have any recommendations?

I might recommend hosting a more easily editable file along with the parallel text (a word document, spreadsheet file, etc), as I like to do my "cleaning up" -- especially for bad OCR scans -- while LRing the text.
Also, I would be really interested in any Norwegian (or for that matter, Swedish/Danish) parallel texts, though unfortunately don't have any suggestions. I don't know where to find Norwegian audiobooks, either, as without a nice audiobook there is very little incentive to make the texts.
Btw, what does that parallel text need? Alignment? Or a closer translation? I can start going through the book re-aligning it and perhaps marking parts which need to be translated, but my French is not that great.
