I'll chip in with my thanks too for organizing this, Sprachprofi. I know how much work these things take, and really appreciate your effort. I have participated in a couple of 6Wc before, but this is the first time I really did everything I could to put in as much language studies as humanly possible, and I felt that it payed off.

My two main problems usually are that
a) I have no time to study
b) I need to read/hear things 10 times more often now than when I was younger, which particularly in light of a) makes it difficult to get anywhere :-) That my main focus language is Russian does not help all that much either.

Putting in such massive hours does however move things forward, and I am hoping that the fact that I have seen how much I can do when I really put my mind to it will benefit my long term studies. I am excited to start the Tadoku challenge too, and hope that it will do wonders for my reading speed.

It is a good thing to have people like you to help us keep motivated!

Yes, if you decide on setting it up, I'm in. I was thinking of setting reading goals
since I'm in for Tadoku, and was glad you mentioned reading being possible. Anything for
languages and motivation!

A big thank you from me too for organizing the 6WCs, Sprachprofi! I've learned a lot about my language learning
needs - learning a language without audio just doesn't work for me at all. Besides, it really did a lot of good for my
Esperanto skills ;o) So thank you! And I'm looking forward to the next 6WC in May!

Thank you for setting this up, Sprachprofi! This is my second 6wc, and I feel my learning time was much more effective this time. Last time I did a lot of random, unconnected activities (at least, it felt like that). This time I had a few primary foci: Assimil, listening and Pimsleur.

Most importantly, during this 6wc I developed a habit which I will continue with. I started doing 1 Assimil lesson a day, and marking a calendar with a big red X for every day I did my lesson. At some point, I might go back and repeat some lessons, but as long as I do full justice to a lesson, I still get the X. Now that I have several lines of X's, I don't want to break the chain!

The idea of the chain comes from Jerry Seinfeld (apparantly) and is outlined here.

Don't break the chain!

I miss 6WC a lot! It was really a GREAT motivation booster for me! Can't wait for the next one, because now I'm feeling a little lost =P

Thanks Sprachprofi!
