Is there a way to include Arabic words into FullRecall?
I don´t know how to type in Arabic script and copy&paste does not work...
I tried virtually every program mentioned in this thread and I think FullRecall is the best so far...

It is probably offtopic here, so try the support forums at http://f.fullrecall.com
My guess is that you just need font setup. Options->Font->
I have Microsoft Sans Serif for Japanese.
You have to choose a Unicode font that has Arabic script built in. The above named one shall be pretty standard, or you can download some from net if you don't have one on your system.

Zorndyke, Pauker handles Arabic well. You can import text files, copy & paste, as you please. Its algorithm isn't as sophisticated as Supermemo/FullRecall; but it is a full Leitner system. Pauker is completely free, BTW.

@virgule:
Thank you for your reply, I will test the programm when I decide to finally pick up Arabic.
As for tomasus' answer: The problem was not that the field shows just boxes or question marks, but the letters didn´t merge and their order was inverted automatically.

I use software called Mnemosyne. It is modeled after SuperMemo but it's completely free. It is completely Unicode based and has no problems with foreign languages like some versions of SuperMemo have had in the past. You can read more about it at http://mnemosyne-proj.sourceforge.net/

Mnemosyne is the OpenSource branch of FullRecall; sort of anyway. In my view, what is important for flash card software is (1) a spaced algorithm (Leitner system of some sort) to stop wasting time revising what you already know, (2) regular use, (3) reasonably worded flash cards. Two of these points are down to you; and that's exactly as I see it: the tool is secondary to how you use it.

Does anyone have a link to lists of input files for Spanish or other languages?

Flashcardexchange.com ?
However, you really should create your own. You actually learn when writing flashcards, and you lose this when using existing cards. Convenient they may appear... but you pay with extra effort ;)
