I've got a similar problem with my last tweet. I tweeted that I've red 5 articles and later on I got a message saying that I've read a book.
Obviously these 5 pages can only count as something like a chapter from a book. |

Unfortunately, the bot can't really guess how long an "article" is (it could be just half a page, some scientific articles are nearly as long as a book). When you
read something that's not a book, you need to specify how many pages it is. For example:
Quote:
@langchallenge Today I #read some articles (5 pages) |
|
|
I've fixed your score so it now reads 5 pages as (I assume?) you'd intended. Also - make sure that you're using the # (hashtag) when writing #book, #read, etc. The
bot does try to guess if you miss it out, but it can make mistakes and the hashtag is the best way to show exactly what you mean.

Twitter Bot question:
I tweeted the first four Harry Potter movies in Spanish (along with their running times) as I watched each one through the course of the day, but the Twitter Bot page has me credited with 6 movies, not 4. I really don't want to be credited with 6 movies when I've actually only watched 4. Is there a way I can get an honest count of movies watched? Should I leave off the running time of the movies when I tweet?

|
|
How much time were the films? A three hour film should count as two films, otherwise they should be one film each. I didn't think the HP films were that long. |
|
|
The first four Harry Potter movies are in the 150 to 160 minute range.
I will just put #movie with no times from now on so I can get an accurate count.

I'm certain that twitter just doesn't like me! :D (just kidding) Anyway. Thanks for the quick resolution mate! :)

Just wondering if I update my progress on Twitter, do I still have to do that in the
Registration&Updates thread on the forum? Not everyone is doing that, right?

Either or both. The advantage of the twitterbot is that you get to compare your numbers with others but it is only a game!

I've requested Norwegian to be added to the twitterbot, and started my first of many
books to come. I'm reading a "Animporhs" novel, which is about 120 ages and is aimed at
kids around the 9-12 age. So far I've only read a few chapters, but reading is getting
easier, and I'm adding many new words to Anki after each chapter.
I've just started quite a stressful and time demanding new job, so have been struggling
to find the time for movies. However I have managed to grab an episode of Hotell Cæsar,
a Norwegian soap opera on youtube.
Looking forward to the rest of the challange!

I tweeted a book of 107 pages. That's supposed to count as 1 book, since it's over 100 pages, but it says I have zero books read. I hope I don't have to read two books of 100 pages each to get credit for one book! That's not how the rules work.
Anyway, I'm keeping my own tally separate from the Twitter bot, so I'll just take the twitter bot result to be a rough approximation, and not an official score.

@ habgglieb You do not have to do your updates in the thread, but if you would like to share with the rest
of us what you have seen and read and possibly get some feed back you may want to.
@ Fitzwig If you read short books do not specify number of pages. Just say #book.
